Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a bank on Auckland’s North Shore.

The man allegedly threatened staff and took money from the bank at Glenfield Shopping Center around 11.30am on Saturday, police said in a statement.
No one was injured during the accident.
Police said inquiries were underway to locate the man.

A staff member at a nearby store said he first heard about the incident from a woman who was at the bank with a young boy.
The woman asked if they could stay in the store for a bit, as the boy was scared.
The staff member said she saw bank staff lower the shutters, as mall security rushed to the scene.
The robbery comes nearly a month after the mall closed due to reports that there were gunmen inside. The police then recovered the ball bearing [BB] guns of a group of young people in the basement of the parking lot.
The staff member said that incident and Saturday’s alleged robbery left her “a bit scared”.
