A MAN was trapped in a bank in Cheng, Melaka, after the door to the building automatically locked behind him, Utusan Malaysia reported.

The 51-year-old man who was using the bank’s ATM was in a panic when the incident happened around 12:40 a.m.

The operations commander of Cheng Fire and Rescue Station, Senior Fire Officer II Mohd Norshah Saleh, said his team received information about the incident at 12:45 a.m.

“When we arrived at the scene, we found a man standing in front of the closed door. We asked the victim to break the glass of the emergency door knob inside the building to open the shutter,” he said in a statement.

He said the team managed to get the man out safely.

> “My chest was heavy, like I had been hit by a rock, and if I had arrived at the hospital a little later, I might have had a stroke,” said the actress Jasmin Hamid, 48, who is currently being treated in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) for a heart attack.

She was admitted to a hospital in Kuala Lumpur last Tuesday.

Harian Metro reported that Jasmin, in a TikTok post, said she didn’t expect to have a heart attack because she adopted a healthy lifestyle and diet.

“I was cleaning up in the kitchen after a meeting when I started feeling uneasy and fainting.

“My hands, face and jaw were numb while my head and stomach also ached. I had cold sweats. I entered the bedroom where my husband and son were sleeping.

“I was afraid that anything would happen while I was alone,” she said.

Jasmin said she tried to sleep but couldn’t. So she took medicine because her body hurt and she had diarrhea.

“I had forgotten that my late mother had stomach aches. These were the signs before she had a heart attack,” Jasmin said.
